Traveling in an airplane with small children. Can I take fruit?

Just wondering if I can take fruit on United Airlines? I know when I went to Hawaii, they made me throw it before you deplane. I am traveling to Florida. Does anyone know regulations State? Yeah .. I know you can get apple sauce through food for babies. (I did last time) I would not even try to take cups of fruits because they are liquid. I mean fresh fruit.

Fruit on the plan is not a problem but Fla is very sensitive when it comes to bringig in fruits from abroad. No problem for the U.S. though. Nobody prevents you from bringeĆng fruit FLA car is right? Hawaii is another story
